As part of our independently developed HL-D280/HL-XD280 series, Hongtuo HL-D280 integrates both water drilling and air drilling capabilities into a single, versatile unit. At its core, Hongtuo HL-D280 features a 5-speed manual automotive gearbox paired with a mechanical top drive power head. It has a wide speed range, convenient forward and reverse switching, high mechanical transmission efficiency, and greatly reduced power energy consumption. This makes it more efficient and energy-saving, solving the dual problems of difficult air DTH hammer drilling in soil layers and low construction efficiency of rotary drilling rigs in hard rock, gravel, and pebble formations.
Built for vertical (90°) drilling tasks, the HL-D280 achieves a maximum water well depth of 200m and wireline coring depth of 350m, with a borehole diameter range of 75–220mm. Its robust power head delivers 100kN of lifting force, 50kN of feeding force, and a maximum torque of 9800N·m, with variable rotary speeds (33–1120rpm forward, 37–180rpm reverse) to adapt to varying ground conditions. The 2300mm power head feed stroke and compatibility with 60mm, 76mm, and 89mm drill pipes further enhance its versatility.
Powered by a YN27 diesel engine (42kW / 2400rpm), the rig balances performance with fuel efficiency. Its rubber crawler chassis (350mm×56) ensures stable mobility across uneven terrain, with a maximum walking speed of 0–2km/h and a climbing angle of 25–30°. Weighing just 3800kg, it offers compact transport dimensions (4600×1900×2540mm) and a streamlined working footprint (3800×2200×5700mm), with optional mud pumps (BW160/BW200/BW250) available for specialized applications.
